Default unfotunately, the end is near

well after several years as a member of the es300 forum, the end is near. saturday morning during a morning errand i drove through a very deep puddle during a flash flood in colorado. i sucked up over a gallon of water into my engine and bent numberous rods inside the engine. this is probably the end of the line for my es. looking at other options now for transportation. if anyone wants to buy it, make me a reasonable offer and come pick it up.

RIP to my DWP 96 es300

Cool

Yep, I can say your car is one of the main inspirations for my 2ES. I'm sad to see 'er go. So sorry for the bad luck event. I'd love to do a part-by-part transplant just to celebrate some of the 3rdElement parts in my car.

I'm wondering though, as cheaply as another 3VZ-FE can be had (TigerDirect is the place folks have gone for a JDM 3VZ?), why not just put another motor in her and keep moving down in the road in that sweet thing? You just ready for something different?

Ah, this is horrible. I've used your ES as a model for mine, I've always loved the look you gave it and wanted mine to turn out just like it. Even if you don't want an ES anymore, I hope you stay within the Lexus family. Keep us updated on what you decide to do!

Default thanks

you guys are great. thank you for the kind words. i think we each inspire the next.

if someone wanted the car, and was willing to spend the money on the engine and labor. its a great car.

im strongly considering the is300. i just need someone to buy this one, and i wont feel so guilty about it being broke.
