Default Is this fair price?

My 02 ES300 is getting some bodywork done
and while it's in the shop i was quoted for my front bumper and hood.
they want $300 each(300 bumper and 300 hood) to refinsh and repaint.
hood and bumper has lots of rockchips and in some areas paint cracked a little. is this fair price? or they are charging too much? and the shop is pretty good with their work, i have gotten some body work from them in the past and i was pleased with their work. because $600 will hurt my pocket alot, but then while its getting worked on might as well.... oh i am getting the bumper done for sure but not sure on the hood, what do you guys think?

That's a reasonable price. I brought a coworker to 2 autobody shops down the street, his hood got dinged by a small rock that put a 1/2 inch dent on the hood so he wanted to fix that and repaint the front bumber and hood. First shop quoted $1200 and the 2nd shop quote $800.

Its not exactly a "hookup" low price.

But it is indeed a fair price. 300 per body part (hood, bumper) with preparing and painting is fair.

The guys are right, it is a reasonable price. But I would ask what type of paint they are using and if there is a warranty. You want factory quality paint and paint method as well as life time warranty. Some shops only give you 1-2 year warranty. Also, unless you get a clear bra, most likely you will get rock chips and minor clear coat scratches as you drive your car. A bad paint job will start to chip in those areas once it happens. Nothing worse than your paint chipping off from a small scratch...looks crappy.
