Default Grille

Where can I find a new Upper Grille for my ES 300? I own a 95' ES and the type of Grille is very plastic and doesn't look good. I want it out. I was thinking of getting a 92-94' ES upper grille because those grilles look better. What do u think?

92-96 I think have the same shape gril, I have a 93 and the gril
is made out of steel. Right now its at a metal shop getting
chromed. It takes 2-3 weeks.

R U sure? I have seen a set of 18-inch rims chromed at a busy shop in 5 days, triple chrome dipped three times. As for the material of the grille it’s the same aluminum alloy the hood is made of and I also like the 92 style grille over the one after it, I like the way it has the black painted on the slopes of the slats if that makes any sense. The newer style is more panted the color of you car and makes the slats seem thicker were, as the 92 horizontal slats look thinner and sharper because of the black shading. The bottom plastic grille has to go though. I put chrome inserts on mine and that works, but I would love to see a custom grill craft insert! Like sheet of metal with the tuns of holes punched into it to create a screen look. Not wire mess. Save the chicken wire for chicken coops or Honda Civics.

Ya I'm sure, they are doing it right now. You will
see it as soon as I get it back. they have to clean it,
remove the paint, take out any dents in it, copper it, nickel it, then chrome it. Its a small shop, but there work is excellent.

I want it done right, so I will let them take there time.

Awesome! Well we will be waiting on the pics, hats off to you, you will be the first ES I have seen with a chrome grill! Now the question is how would it look if you had the hood logo relocated onto the grill like the other Lexus models? Just a thought?

I am the first to post pics of a chrome grill on a ES, 1993 Es 300 Green. The pic were taken in the rain, so the grill is not clean.

My personal feeling on this grill is that, I don't like it. Oh well
I think i'm going to remove the L-logo and place it on the grill, so
it would look nicer.

what do you think????

Also check out my pic of my deck and screen

Alvin, from what I see, It looks like the grille looks good. Maybe it's because I haven't seen it in contrast with the rest of the car. Post some daylight pics if you could. Thanks - Eric

Well bro I must say it looks better then stock especially on a dark car, think of it this way you will most likely set a trend. The only thing I didn’t think of and if I was to have mine done is not to lose the black shading on the reverse angle of the horizontal slats. But this must be stripped off for the chrome. That might be what your not used to sing different. I’m sure for a few bucks a good but slightly ghetto shop like a son and pop body shop would tape it up and repaint the black shadings on it and bring it back closer to stock. It would look more like the way it was intend to grace your hood but with a chrome highlight to it. Once again congrats! One more mod! I look forward to more pics!
