Default 2001 es300 steering noise

Well cared for es with 65k
Last week I noticed when I start to turn the wheel right I get a noise and I turn the wheel a little left and it goes away.

It sound like the car is in low gear but I have taken the car out of gear while moving and the sound is still there.
It run and drives normal.

I started with the tires thinking it was just tire noise.
Still there.
Now, I am thing bad wheel bearing.

Any suggestions?

thanks for you time

I wish it was that simple. But I checked this right away and level is fine.
The strange thing is - the noise goes away when I turn the wheel to the right.
Also it seems like it is only between 30 and 65 mph that it is noticeable

Weird problem...Does it come from the interior of the car? or more past the steering column?

It sounds like the front drivers side wheel well.
And I only need to move the steering wheel a 1/2 inch from center to the left and it stop.
I know it does not change with eng. revs and can change gears and noise stays the same so this Leeds me to believe that’s it has to do with the front wheel rotation.

Id lift it, take the wheels off. Have somebody in the car while lifted and turn the wheel. Might find something

well i put it up on a lift
and hand spun checked for play on all the wheels
then i removed them and looked for anything loose or damanged.

Nothing everything is tight and clean no leakes very little wear showing on the front end linkage.

well i guess it's time to get a trained eye to look for it.
