I have 241,000 miles and just recently between 2,000 thru 2,500 RPM there is a knock. It only makes a light knocking noise in that RPM range. No noise under and no noise over that RPM. I tried Lucas and it does not seem to help. The dealer says all the clearance of the valve cups are within tolerance/

Any suggestions??????????????? Punt PASS or Kick

suspension? i know my car makes a thumping/knocking noise, because my coilover on the passenger front is blown.

is the knock from motor?

It makes the knock without moving and reving the engine from 1750 thru 2500 RPM and the goes away.

Would a flexplate make knock in the range of 1750 thru 2500 RPM only? If I put it in drive and the knock is still there but not as loud coud it be a flexplate?

I am experiencing the same problem except my car has 179000 miles on it. If you come across any answers please let me know. Thank you. BTW what is a flexplate?
