Default Oil change question 2005 ES330

Ok, I've searched until my fingers are bleeding and I can't seem to find a good DIY for this. I'm not so concerned with doing the change itself. I'm sure I can figure that out. However, I can't seem to find out (for sure) if my Lexus requires synthetic oil or not. The manual doesn't say synthetic so I'm sort of thinking it doesn't require it but...

Can anyone clear this up?

Thanks.

it does not require synthetic, but i change my oil with Mobil1 5-30 full synthetic and Mobil1 Extended Performance Filter. Cost of it under $40. and i think it's worth it, especially if you are doing it yourself.

Cost of Name Brand Conventional Oil and filter(Penzoil, Mobil, Valvoline, Etc.)
will cost around $20 with filter and will last 3-5k miles before due

Cost of Name Brand Synthetic Oil and filter(Penzoil,Mobil1, Valvoline, Etc.)
will cost around $40 with filter and will last 7-10k miles before due

plus it's a synthetic, just do it!

I have no problem with synthetic oils, just wanted to see if it was required or not. I have no idea what the previous owner put in it (bought it used recently).

Nothing wrong w/ either. Synthetic will cost you more but the intervals increase. If you've got a lot of miles I'd say with mineral oil, if you've got low miles then make the switch. One more thing, please read the article in my sig.

My new favorite brand of oil, although I've never used it and don't even know if it's available in the US, I just like the chica's.
