Simple Question About 90k Service...

Just wanted to be clear on parts needed for timing belt/90K maint. job.
When I go to CarsonToyota's site, they have a bunch of stuff, and my mechanic's quote indicated they were giving me a "timing belt kit", which would indicate multiple parts beyond just the timing belt. I also get the sense from Carson's site that with the water pump I may need additional screws/gaskets.
I plan on trying to save some $$ by bringing my own parts, which my mechanic is okay with, but I want to be sure I order everything I need for the timing belt job and the waterpump job. They are doing the other normal checks at this service too, including the T-belt tensioner and a couple of other belts. Any help with exactly what I'd need for the timing belt kit and water pump replacement would be appreciated beyond the main parts.

I am also facing the dreaded 90k mile service. would you also recommend replacing the other belts (A/C, alternator) at this time? My dealer also recommended replacing a seal...I think they called it a "front cam seal" anyone know anything about this seal?

It never hurts to add additional parts to save from future labor charges. Best timing belt job would be: Timing Belt, Water pump/gasket(gasket comes with Toyota pump), Some replace the timing belt tensioner and idlers, The front Crank seal is usually not included in this service, but wouldn't hurt to do it, itr is cheap. The cam seals can be done at this time as well if you choose.

JSM, I know you've stated your policy, but what about the difference between a flush and change? I have a transmission fluid CHANGE coming up on Friday (already did T-belt, water pump, other belts, etc.). I bought the car with 87K miles, now has 91K. No idea if tranny fluid has ever been done but the mechanic said the tranny fluid is dirty and should be changed. I'd envision them recommending a change, not a flush...some have different opinions on this based on the engine. I know Infiniti says you should flush your tranny at a certain interval. My Mercedes manual says never touch it, but they updated it to "change" at 100K miles, and never to flush due to metal filings that can build up and cause problems for a flush vs. a change. Thoughts on this engine and changing vs. flushing fluid? I want to get at least a change done despite not knowing whether or not it's ever been done.
