Hey guys,
I've done the fog light mod ohh I'd say atleast 1 yr ago, and this last week I noticed my fogs don't always turn on when I flip the switch. I've been running these pretty often as kinda a DRL so there mostly on when I drive.
I went to check the relay and it was HOT!!
The relay still works but not consistently now. A little kick and the relay kicked in. But should the relay relay be hot at all?
I tied the power from the cigg fuse to the relay for the umm I guess you would call like a remote wire to the fuse. but theres also a fuse where I piggybacked off the cigg fuse. All done properly
Any ideas? wires by the fuse where ok but 1 looked a little cooked.
Should I just change the relay?
Thanks for any help guys..

Hmm, I'll try goin back to stock and see if it has the same issue. If not maybe I'll try a smaller fuse or different fuse to piggyback from..
Atleast I know I'm not the only one..

Haven't switched back to stock yet..
The relay has been running fine since I last posted here.
Still gets a bit hot, but I don't run the fogs as often anymore.
Wires still look in good condition.
I think the problem was the way I left the relay mounted, it was getting sandwiched between the removable cover and floorboard so it couldn't dissipate any heat.
