Default Newb with question... 92-96 es300

Hey, newbie here.
I just bought a 1996 ES300 for $2500 to drive to work and roll in for the winter. I bought it with some fuses and bulbs out that is why i got it so cheap (the previous owner didn't have a clue). I noticed when i drove it that the exhaust has a slight leak, which can only get worse. Well this got me looking online for parts, and they are extremely hard to find for these vehicles (92-96 es300). I guess i am requesting any links or information on websites for *aftermarket* parts. I am used to my 350Z, which has a billion aftermarket parts available. I appreciate it.

Thanks
-Ryan

edit: Understand that i have "searched" and "googled" for a couple hours and haven't found much.

Cool

Welcome to the fun of a lack-of-aftermarket.
All is not lost. I completely replaced my exhaust system and logged the work, parts, and research in this thread.
  • You can purchase a Bosal system which is an OEM-like, bolt-on replacement for the stock exhaust system, from header to tailpipe.
  • You can purchase good quality name brand parts (like the converters, resonators, muffler, etc.) while having the connecting pipes custom made [I went this route, as you'll see in the thread above]
  • Option to either approach: You can have a custom y-pipe made, which is the biggest performance-type mod available for the 3VZ-FE, this side of forced induction.
And that, my friend, is pretty much about IT when it comes to replacing your 2nd gen ES's exhaust system. Good luck and let us know which way you go with it.

Thanks man. Yeah i prefer to keep it quiet, i already have a performance exhaust on my other car thats target towards sport and speed. I would like my DD to be quiet and comfortable. The comfort is there, now just need to return it to quiet!
I did find the Bosal system during my searching and also came across the 5zigen exhaust system that is available but a little pricy for my blood. I'm just gonna cut and paste what i need and if i need to, buy w/e off the bosal sight i may need.
