Hey i just joined hoping I could get some information from one of yall. I got a 1991 toyota mr2 turbo. I got a 2000 lexus es300 motor im about to put in it. I THINK the 2K model has 2 different 3.0 vvt-i's. One with EGR and one with out. Well the motor I have does not ahve a egr. So my question is does anyone know the build dates that does not have egr or does? Cause i need to get the right ecu as i would think they have 2 different ones being that one has egr and one doesnt. I see on car-parts.com 2 different ecu numbers and one is for a 2000 model es300 with a build date in late 99 and then one for the year 2K. So im not sure which one I need to get. Also on my motor it came with the complete harness. On the harness that goes to the MAF it branches off to 3 plugs. One is for MAF the other is for the VSV on hte air intake box and the 3rd one im unsure of where it goes. Its a single wire with a plug and has a weather pack in the plug so i know its a sensor of some sort and not just a ground i wouldnt guess. Could anyone tell me what it goes to?? Ando ne last question, does the 2000 es300 have 1 or 2 o2 sensors after the manifolds? Any help would be great guys!! And sorry for htel ong post!

Thanks alot. Yeah it has like 90K on it but the blocks so clean it looks almost polished lol. I was thinkng it might go to a intake air temp sensor which i think every car I ever seen with a MAF sensor has one, but I looked on the net and couldnt find one listed. So I just figured it might not have one for some reason to do with the VVTi like it doesnt have a egr. It would be nice if someon had this model car could look on hteres lol

this motor is a 2000. I think in 2000 they had to different ones. Again this is NOT jdm come straight from my local salvage yard here in atl. Does ur 2001 have that plug im trying to figure out where it goes? If it does please let me know what it is. And I just called hte yard where I got my motor from and they said the VIN is on the receipt. So I can just look it up or call toyota when I get off work

Thanks for the replies. Yeah I know of paul woods and the many people who do the v6 swap to the mr2. But theres only a few who ahve done the VVT-i swap. Most people like paul woods all go with a older 1mz or 3vz/5vz ect.. Only thing I really need to know is where that plug goes. I found hte VIN number for the motor. So I can call lexus and find out which ecu I need. If i wait long enough I can go to my frineds shop and look on his alldata to find out where that plug goes. Just thought someone on here might be able to tell me quicker if they have a 2000 lexus es300
