Very nice ES you have there! I've got the same question as lexusnb. How much were the headlights? I'd love to finish my car off by adding HID's. I'm not 'cluey' enough to do a retrofit, so buying the original HID's is the only option. I live in Australia and they aren't even available here! (wasn't a factory option) so I'd have to get them from the U.S. I've done heaps of searches and can hardly find anyplaces online in the U.S. that even has them listed. I did find one site - they had them advertised for $840 EACH!
Do you have to do any mods to make them fit a 97/98 ES etc? I've heard that the HID starter ballast mounted underneath the headlight may be an issue when swapping over from the original lights?

thanks, i got them for around 400 shipped for both but not from the same person... i had to find seperate lights off ebay, and you will have to do some cutting or grinding to the inner portion of the rad support on both sides (somewhat minor though) near the relay boxes... there is no swapping of parts need.. itll fit right in after the cuts are made... i also made the mistake of buying the 01 fog lights assuming they would fit the 98 bumper but i was wrong.. so now i have to buy a 01 bumper (which i can get from dealer for $300) which i think is a good price? but yea anyways you should searh ebay often and you will find some good deals other than that its $800+ everyother site.. good luck

dont cut ur springs. the ride gets rough and bouncy, i know this for a fact. also heard that it can screw up the structural integrity of the spring. But that im not sure about. either way, i would save up the cash and wait until u can buy springs. 1.2" drop would prob do it. and u can get lowering springs without gettin shocks but eventually ur gunna need both.
