Default Remote starter question (1995 es300, Valet 562T starter)

I can pick this up for next to nothing: http://www.autoaccessconnect.com/recocarst40.html

and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this starter? It says that it should work on most automatic cars and ES300 is not on the list of excluded models.
Will this work on 95 es300? We do not have factory alarm or an aftermarket alarm.

or would you recommend buying some other remote starter instead of saving a few bucks on this one?

thanks!

We do have a factory alarm on our cars.

The one thing you should note is that the car has to have its doors unlocked before starting or else you will have the factory alarm honking lots....

I don't know much about that starter, but I do not recommend cheaping out when it comes to that... I did that for one my winter cars, and would not go that route again.

then again, some might have had a good experience with them.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend ANY remote starting system. They are a nice convenience on a frosty morning but, idling an engine until it is fully warmed up is one of the worst things you can do for it (carbon deposit build-up) not to mention the waste of gas and the unnecessary Co2 emmissions.
The car will warm up faster and run better if you get in and drive it after a 30 second warm-up rather than letting it sit idling in your driveway for several minutes.

Besides, that's what heated seats are for.

I had no idea factory alarm was on all es300's... i thought this was an option.
this es300 came without alarm remote, can dealer provide us with a replacement? any idea how much $$ they would charge for this?

It could be, Im still new to the lexus. However in my Compustar alarm/remotestart combo manual it says that the factory alarm needs to be deactivated on some Mercedes, and on the 1992 -1996 Lexus ES300.

I bought my car with only a Valet key and it seemed to work fine to open doors and start my car...
