Exclamation struts for my car with tein springs...

i had a set of kyb's blow out with in a few months and i dont think i wanna go that route again.

does anyone know where i can get a cheap set of tokico blues or something similar to support the tein springs and reduce the bouncyness?

thanks!!

how much of a drop do you have? how many inches? only certain types of struts are made to handle lowered situations...

Hmm I have the same springs and struts since may and no problems. You might want to check if they are under warranty.

I would I mean a lot of guys have the same setup. Myself and kphu just off the top of my head and I'm sure if you search a little you would find lots of guys with the same setup with lots of success.

how long did you have the springs on for? I know when I had tanabe springs and gr2's, the gr2's lasted maybe 5 months tops before they went out. after about 4 months you could tell the shocks were worn. you might want to check ebay for the tokicos. you wont find em cheap thats for sure. tokicos will last longer than the gr2's for sure as they are stiffer than the gr2's. gluck.

Yep try bilstein they should hold up well. A little more expensive, but I have had better experience with them over kyb.

im getting my struts replaced by pepboys, they are still under warranty...2 years!

i changed out the rears this afternoon, and im going to do the fronts tomorrow, the rear end stopped bouncing so much, but the front is where i notice the bounce now.

its being done for no more than my own labor, and if this doesnt work i'll have to pick up some tokico's

That's comforting I'm glad that they have such a warranty. I hate to say it where were all these problems when I was looking for struts I did a lot of searching and reading to find that kyb was recommended to come to find problems like this?

yeah, that is good news.
i dont think that youre new struts shouldve only lasted a couple of months though, so yeah, it probably is a defect with the unit somewhere

oh no no...those struts that i just put the springs on were about 2 years old. but i didnt think there were any problems with them.

but i guess driving 2 years on a set of struts deals a great amount of stress on the internal parts. like i said, the rear is stiffened up and doesnt bounce as much, and now im gonna go take out the fronts right after i submit this post.
