There's alot of extremely poor quality HID kits being offered by fly-by-night companies these days. I don't know anything about this particular kit, but I wouldn't be surprised if it fell into at least one of those categories.

Check out one of our forum sponsors, mobilehid or xenondepot. Both offer excellent products and most of all customer service. They stand behind what they sell and will be there if you have a question or problem. While you won't get a kit for $40, I find it worth the extra money to get a quality product from a trustworthy vendor. I'm using a mobilehid kit in my 2GS fogs and their d2r bulbs in the headlights and have been very happy.

vvme kits are used widely by the audi owners and so far I haven't heard too many complaints about the kit. I myself haven't tried it yet so I can't speak from experience. I'm currently running a slim Aline kit in my wifes ES and so far so good no problems I might pick one up for my Audi. I also have a Xentec kit for her fogs and that is good to go too. The only real problem I've experienced with HID's is with buying replacement bulbs I bought a pair from ebay and it was suppose to be 6k but when I put it in it seemed like 5k so needless to say those went into the trash good thing they weren't expensive. So does anyone know of any good places to order replacement bulbs?

I can speak from experience. Although there is a post to the same brand of HID's on this page or the next. You should check that out.

I have had them on my 92 ES, my 96 Accord, my Gf's 98 Civic and my father's 04 Montana. On top of that I have seen them on several of my friends cars.

The verdict on all of them? No problems to this day. I have been using this brand for over 2 years now, and they don't flicker, haven't died etc.. However I do expect them to go in the near future... when? no idea but I am sure they are not the same quality as more expensive ones. Additionally you wont get the same support as xenon depot will give you.

The HID's are German technology but manufactured in china. Very easy to install, as long as you don't touch the bulb or short something out you are fine.
