the fronts would require a very big spacer...i'm talking in excess of 25mm. Why not just get different wheels altogether? Get a set that fits w/o having to use spacers.

I will probably get different ones after I see how these fit with the spacer. If I like it I will probably sell them and get another set with the offset I need haha. I asked one of the local tire shops right here and he said they didnt have 205/35 or 205/40. So would it be better to do 215/40 in the front and maybe 225/40 rear? would that still work?

Ok I have 8" wide rims in the front 40mm offset with a 5mm spacer and its pretty close to being flush. So I'm not really sure where a 25mm spacer would be needed but idk. I think with a 8.5" rim a 5mm or 3mm spacer would be fine at an offset of 43mm. As far as tires you really might want to take a look at the miata tire calculator http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html. Now the stock tire is 205/65/15 so replacing that with lets say a 215/35/18 tire would make your speedo 6.1% to fast. So if it says your going 60 your actually going 56.3 and it will get worse as you go faster. Lets take a 205/40/18 it will make your speedo 4.1% to fast. So if it says your going 60 your actually going 57.6 again getting worse as you go faster. Now with 225/40/18 which I run myself your speedo is 1.6% to fast. So when it says I'm going 60 I'm actually going 59. As far as running two different size tires lets say 215/40/18 in front and 225/40/18 in the rear you would be putting a tire in front that is about a quarter inch shorter than the rear and still throwing your speedo off. Now I don't know what the big deal about stretched tires but I like an accurate speedo and think with rims that big and wide its gonna look good no matter what.

this all boils down to what are you goals? how low is your car going to be when daily driven? With a moderate drop (springs), an 8 wide rim w/ a +40 offset will look decent. If you're like me, and run the car as low as coilovers will go, the same +40 offset will sit "sunken in." Running those size tires, you will throw off your speedo, but I already accepted that before hand so its not too big an issue to me. I'm not too sure on the OP view on this so I will let him decide.

Car is sitting as low as Ksport coilovers would let me drop it. Not sure on the exact drop height but its pretty low. As for the speedo being a bit faster I do not really mind at all since I still need to go get mines fixed haha.. -.- and I think it would be better if it says I am going faster so I would actually be driving slower and not get a speeding ticket Choas you are running 225/40/18 all around on 18x8 & 18x9?

I have 18x8 in the front and 18x8.5 in the rear with 225/40/18 all around. Your gonna have fun getting an 18x9 to fit because you need to offset to be perfect.

wrd...to get a 9 to fit, you need offsets b/t +21 and +24 and run about 2 to 3 degrees of negative camber. Just run 8.5 all around.
