So you DIY painted the lower half of the car? How did you do it? Wouldn't it be easier to remove the front and rear bumpers? And that mask job looks like overspray would get everywhere. But it looks good.

From this distance it doesn't look to bad for DIY paint.

First wet sand then I flat/primer blacked all of them. next I cleaned it with a semi wet rag and gloss blacked it and clear coat after.

I took my time and did it slow so I didn't worry too much about overspray. Those are the only pictures I took I had more newspaper and cardboard on the car all over the top and sides but didn't get any picture of them. I will try to get some closer pictures 2morrow. Thanks

It looks good. How long did it take you to paint it? Keep up the work...

I am in SoCal. it took about like 3 days to dry completely. I didn't drive it so I had it sitting with a car cover so it doesn't build dust. Painting it wasn't hard. I like how it looks all black too haha .. waiting on my wheels and another double din to put in and if smitty wants to parts out his car I will jump on those headlights

Cool at least I know I can somewhat paint then lol. That is my first time painting my own car.. I only flat/primered a SC400 but didn't gloss it and been painting small things like axles, alternators, starters, etc.

I hope you don't have it covered now. I had my es professionally resprayed in may and they told me not to cover it for 90 days so I didn't haze the paint.

Pics are kinda blurry, but doesnt look too bad from the camera angle. Nice job!!!

Can tell you know that if Smitty EVER decides to part out his car, those headlights aint gonna come cheap. DEF a one of a kind item and were custom made by a close personal friend of ours. NO he will not do them for sale. His lights were a one off set. Just be prepared to pay a premium for them if they ever go up for sale. Will def be well worth the price tho!!

The car is not covered right now because I let it sit outside tho so it could dry faster. It's blocked all around so not too much dirt n whatever else could get on it. Only thing is that it rained the other day but I checked it and it didnt do anything to the paint. I think I would be still buy those headlights from smitty haha. I am too lazy to retrofit them myself and put all that time into it. Maybe he won't charge me for the eyelids? first thing first.. I am focusing on fitting these wheels on that should be here today.
