Default 1996 es300 Lexus stopped

I pulled out of the gas statio after driving previously about 30miles and the car would not go faster than 5 mph then stopped. Towed it to the mechanic and worked fine. Hooked it to the computer and nothing. Picked up the car and worked fine for 3 days and again the same thing. slow than nothing. No sounds nothing ..it does sound a little "putt, putty" when the accelerator is pushed. won't go forward but goes in reverse fine.

Nope. Don't think so. Had a cracked hose -replaced it and it worked great for a week. Then again the same symptoms-Dying and no acceleration. Got a catalytic code. Replaced it. Worked great for 1 month. Same thing again. Took out the sensor 1 and tested ok. Put it back and it's been working without symtoms for 2 days. The check engine light is not always on, only when it acts up after driving about 10 20 min. So, this makes it kind of difficult.
