Default Would this count as a "Retrofit"?

Allo!

Basically here is my plan!

I am going to buy
05-06 Lexus ES300 CCFL HID LED Halo Projector Headlights

for my 2002 Lexus ES 300. Now.. My current lights are HID Reflectors, which use to my knowledge.. D2R bulbs.

What I want to do, is buy those 05 headlamps, and then x2 V-LEDS HID Kits from V-LEDS.COM. The new 05 Headlights use D2S bulbs.. again to my knowledge. So! That being said.

I'd get x2 HID Kits..

V-HID 35W SLIM BALLAST XENON HEADLIGHT KIT D2S 5000K PURE WHITE

and
V-HID 35W SLIM BALLAST XENON HEADLIGHT KIT H3 5000K PURE WHITE

The D2S for the headlamp, and H3 for foglights.

Would this be a retrofit? Or just a stupid glare that people will ***** at me for. ?

Thanks so much!

Those aftermarket headlights arent D2S. They are crappy H1 projectors most likely. They put out alot LESS light than your original setup. If you want projectors, Do a real retrofit with actual D2S projectors, or buy original Lexus 05-06 HID Headlamps.

And if you do an actual retrofit, or buy the actual Lexus 05-06 HID headlights, You can still use your original ballasts and wouldn't have to buy a HID kit.

I'm with JSM.

I'd definitely invest the time and money to do the retrofit right. In the end you'll get better light output, it will look alot better and you wont blind the ***** out of people at night. I hate people who just slap in HIDs in halogen housings.
