Great! Just to be sure--the '93 unit does not have the button labeled "outside temperatute" and the '96 unit does.
That shouldn't cause any problems?
Be awesome if I can use this unit! Got a friend who'll sell me the stereo and climate control together for $40!! Both have good LCD and work well.
That shouldn't cause any problems?

Check the pics to see a '93 unit without "outside temp" button and a '96 unit with that button.
I wanna put a '96 with button in a '93 es300 that didn't have that button on its OEM unit. I don't care if the button works, just wanna know if the rest of the unit will work.

Since the '96 ES has an outside temp. sensor that the '93 ES doesn't, there might be a different connector on the back of the climate control unit. But if it was me, I'd buy it anyways since the price is right, and then resell the climate control if it doesn't fit. Keep us posted.
