silly question about o2 sensor!

Hi guys..is the oxygen sensor from "bank 1 sensor 1" the same as "bank 2 sensor 1"? can i swith them around or each sensor being different from each other? I somehow messing it up while changing them out..thanks

should be the same sensor. The only limiting factor would be the length of the wiring coming off the sensor.

Sensor 1 (before cat) and sensor 2 (after cat) are different.

You neglected to mention what year your car is. On my 92, bank 1 and bank 2 sensors have different mounting flanges.

oh..sorry..it's a 94 es300..I got the o2 replaced and reset the ecu..so far..the cel haven't coming back yet..gotta go get my emission test tomorrow..:-)
