Default Good deal? Any concerns?

Hey everyone, we have a 01 RX300. I am looking for a used Lexus for myself now. At the local dealer I found a 04 ES 330, 63k miles, AWD, etc, etc. Asking price 16,900, which seems high to me?

Are there any concerns I should worry about on the 04 330, like on our 01 RX we have the tranny issue.

Haha, no problem, to be honest, id try to get an 05, more upgrades other than the engine. If not, sounds like an ok deal, not great but depends where you live, regarding the transmission, no problems really, just strange characteristics , i guess i could call it

jmd, you're right the 05 has more options and looks like a better buy. I found a 05 in the same area for a bit cheaper with less miles. The only thing is it isn't Lexus certified, like the one I mentioned above. Its being sold at a Ford dealership.

Should that be a deal breaker?

The es is basically bullet proof, it wouldnt be for me, if you want, go to your lexus dealership and buy a extended lexus warranty, i think it is bout 1,500 depending on which you get

It's true, any ES is pretty much bulletproof compared to other entry level luxury.

i agree with jmd93, personally i wouldn't mind which dealership it's coming from as long as car itself feels good. and you can take your car to lexus dealer if it's still under factory warranty to get it certified and get LEXUS EXTENDED WARRANTY just like Certified Lexus comes with... I have 02 ES300 which has same body and interior as 04... and I do like upgraded 330's better(05-06).... So if 05 330 Drives good and has clean CARFAX, what are you waiting for??? ^^ Good Luck!!
