Hello Everyone,
My name is Ismael (Ish). Just purchased an ES300 (1995) and love it. But in my inspoections of the car. i noticed a Knocking or loud ticking int the engine. Wondering what could cause that. Is this a usual for the Cars?
If catastrophic, what would an engine cost? Is there a place in NYC members go to?
Im new to the Lexus Game, coming from an Acura Legend and before that a Nissan MAxima.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you

Hi ishgotbike, welcome to the forums. They are absolutely lovely cars. How loud is the ticking noise? It might just be the tappets that you can hear but this is more of a guess. If it very loud there may be some problems there. How well was the car taken care off (i.e. regular servicing, etc.).
Anyway post up some pics of you "new" ride. Also do a search on the forum as there may be some more info.

Welcome to Clublexus. Post pictures of your car when you get a chance. The ticking noice could be the valves need to be adjusted. Take it in and found out what it needs. Happy driving...
