Sorry, i forgot to mention i did this on my parents es...if you look at your lower grille, you'll find indents from rock chips on the grille edge, thats where chipping will occur to the 'chrome paint'. Firstly if you had the grill chrome plated you'll have no issue, however the duplicolor 'chrome' is really not chrome, just a polished silver - look, and it will start to oxidize and rub off after about 5 car washes.
I had to lightly sand the paint off to get back to the black part, and i think it looks better black.
