Default 93 es300 idle??

Just put car back together after head gasket job, and everything is fine except the idle on the car is too low. When you start it when its cold, it will go up 2 RPMs then all the way down and die. You have to put foot on the gas for a minute, then it idles really low like its gonna die. Any idea what I can check or how I can fix this?

Could be a vacuum leak or a dirty IAC valve.

I checked all the vacuum hoses, and cleaned the IAC, throttle body, and air intake chamber...It had a low idle before, but now its so low it the rough idle. Wasnt like that before .

Plugs and wires are new...No lights come on at all. I figured it out I think....fuel injector was leaking, and I just needed to let it run for a bit to get everything circulating through the motor. Its back to normal now..Thanks!!

I just had a similar problem. Mine was fixed at a shop however. I thought it was my battery, but it was the wires in the ignition area. The car would just die in traffic before the fix, then when I got it back the idle was low. I had them tweak it up a bit and now everything is fine.
