I've had the rear light indicator on my HUD on for some time now, but I've checked twice pretty thoroughly of what might be burnt out with no luck. Any advice?

Oh and it's a 2001 ES300.

when it happened to my 02 ES, it was the stop light on rear deck. did you pull out each bulb and checked it? while your at it get one of those connector cleaner/bulb cleaner and grease it between the contact!

Most likely 1 of the 2 terminals in one of the bulbs is not working. Brake bulbs have 2 terminals in them; 1 for the nightimes lighting, the other for the brake light. Turn on all of your lights and have someone step on the brake pedal and see which one does not get brighter. Replace that one.
Other possibility, as hoonami, suggested, 1 of the 2 bulbs in the 3rd brake lite(deck mounted) may be out.

I had the same problem with my 1993 ES, I checked the fuse and found that it was split, but arcing to complete the circuit. I replaced it with a new fuse and have not had the issue again.
