Just another easy to do mod with minimal results. Worth a try.
The OP on the TN forums had a 1mz So i'll go do some exploring and see if it's any different with a 3vz...

Yeah that's the thing... minimal improvement and improvement to what extent really. You might as well give it a shot haha.

Theres one thumbs up so far.
I just went out and snapped some photos of the 3vz and the hoses don't seem too different from a 1mz. Just in-case anyone new to this needed a reference:
After thoroughly reading the comments on TN it seems that many engine gurus warn to not do this mod and the effects are negative since you'll be sacrificing torque for horsepower. Still, to each his own and there's no way I won't try this, too easy.

Yea, reading the solara forum you posted just re-affirmed what I was thinking. I don't think it's a bad mod by any means, as a matter of fact If i was taking my ES to the track this would be a must have. Have you felt a loss in low end torque though? That would be my only worry since both drivers and gurus have commented on feeling less of that low-end "tug". And since I'm constantly racing from red light to red light it just seems more efficient to leave it as is.
Also.. after having your mechanic do work on your engine always make sure he put your aftermarket intake back on the right way. Found out he left the coupler half way off. I've been getting terrible mpg and just found out why. Just a friendly PSA

Sadly no. I have midterms next week so I'm gonna spend all weekend studying for a bunch of tests that determine the rest of my life, stupid. I'm looking forward to this summer though! FL2K9 is gonna be sick.
