Angry I give up....

So someone brought the fog light mod thread back from the dead last week and I figured I would try it this weekend. I can't do it! Here are some specs:
2000 ES300 Platinum w/ HID standard and DRL.
I bought 16 gauge wire and all the connectors, connected pins 2,3,4 exactly where they were and I ran a wire from pin 1 to the wiper fuse under the dash (25A).
End result: Fogs turn on as soon as you start the car along with the DRL.
Turn on HID, fogs shut off. Turn off HID, fogs come back on and one of the DRL goes into high beam mode and the other stays completely off. WTF?
Any ideas? This is driving me insane. I read all the previous posts regarding fog mod and I even tried bending pin 1 and plugging the relay back in and running power from same source. Same results. Thanks in advance for any informative input.

seems like your pins are alittle off.

without the mod, when you start the car, the drl will turn on automatically. and after you turn on the lights, the drl will shut off.

it might not be the power source but the pin thats connected to the relay.

i think your pins to the relay is off.

Not exactly sure what you mean by my pins are off. I had it hooked up to where the relay was plugged in and the 1 pins was bent and a wire ran from that to the 12 V source. Are you saying that the male connectors I used are the wrong ones? Thanks for any input.

i think he means that the pins are powering different things, so slightly different from the previous years relay.

i c whats the problem.

try switching pin 3 and 4 around.

your fog light suppose to shut off when high beams are on, not regular headlights.

By switching pins you mean plug wire from pin 3 into socket 4?
