the 3.2 CL-S and TL-S are both better performers than the regular CL/Tls.(duh) Having driven a CL-S, i thought it performed better than my 95 ES but the CL guy had tricked his car out a bunch, and mine is pretty much stock. Personally i don't think the ES is not all that when it comes to tight cornering and stuff, considering it is a luxury car that was probably marketed originally to "older" people. Also, the 3.2 has much more hp (i think like 260?? someone help me out)

I was about to buy a tl for the reason it was faster, but when i test drove both cars the es was smoother and quieter! The tl has more toys to play with the heated seats and steering wheel controls which are standard. Those toys i didnt really need, so i chose the es for the smoothness of the ride and its more prestiges than acura.

The 3.2 TL has more Sport than a ES so it would Excel in all performance categories. However the ES would win in comfort, and Quietness

a Normal 3.2 TL has 225 HP 0-60 in 7.2
And Yes Zoom you are right....
The Type-S Models Have 260 HP 0-60 in 6.3

Thumbs up Yup

Yes the strut brace fits 1997-2001 ES300 too since we use the same frame and have the same strut locations.

My friend has a 3.2 TL, and he did a 1min30sec burnout that went the distance of 5 houses. After that, I learned a new respect for those cars -- ill see if i can get a pic of the tracks up.

I just sold my 7 month old 2002 TL-S. that car sucks. yes, engine is great, but tranny, tires and build quality belong on $10000 car.
I took all my suspension mods off when I sold it. that last drive without them reminded me how badly this car handles when it is stock. It'll be a while before I look at another Acura/ i'm much happier with my 2002 ES.

98-99? Don't you mean 96-99? 99 and newer is the current generation.
