my driver's side door won't open from the outside anymore. Key nor remote will work. I can hear the click when unlocking via key or remote, but won't open. It does open from the inside, so what I have to do now is to open the rear door and reach to the front to open from the inside. Not fun.

Any idea if this is an easy DIY? My mechanic says that it's probably either a clip, or the door handle itself is bad. What would the estimated cost be for parts and labor if it was a clip? door handle?

Outer door handle might be broken from the inside, or the linkages might have been popped out of place.

Rip the door panel off and check it out
