Default Oil leaks and poor fuel economy

Ok, so my care has been dripping a bit of oil for a while now (main engine seal is going, but some seal rejuvinator/stop-leak stopped it leaking since i got it ~10 months ago) the last week or so it has been dripping oil in several areas, i stopped some of it by tightening the 18 bolts that hold the sump on, but i still have about 3-4 drops (appeared after a short drive) coming from the right side of the engine bay (this is a right hand drive car by the way) and this oil is clear and fresh looking, the main engine oil is a darker brown since i've done about 4000km on it (about 2500miles) since i last changed the oil. i also tested the fuel economy and i'm getting about 20L/100km (11.7MPG) which is ridiculous as when i first got the car i was getting about 12.5-13.5L/100km (18.8-17.4mpg). anyone have any ideas? the FSMs are useless for this since there is 23 different things that can cause poor fuel economy, and the oil leakage it doesnt help much with either. the oil leak is near the center (height wise) of the engine on the right side as i have seen smoke come out from here as the oil burnt up. any help would be much appreciated!

(MPG reply only) Even 18.8 mpg is pretty bad on an ES. At least for me, I get on average 26-30 MPG, although I drive pretty slow and my car is a 5spd.

The basics for the MPG, fluids and filters make sure they're new. I changed to a synthetic blend oil and keep the car maintained. LRR tires (Low Rolling Resistance) help somewhat too. I also dorked around with the Mass Air Flow sensor and jumped my mileage up 3 MPG because I set it to run a little lean, but not overly so.

hrm, mine is the auto version, so that would lower it a bit, but your right, it should be closer to 25+ either way

Do you have a CEL light on?If you do u better take a look at the codes. When i got my 1994 ES (330.000km on it** last year it gave me around 19L/100km,i had 2 things wrong on the car,Egr modulator and O2 on catalytic converter.I changed those{bought them used**,cleaned throtle body, seafomed the engine and gas tank, put 1 liter of transmission fluid in the engine and run it for 700km then changed the oil again and its better now,I checked 2 days ago and it gave me 14.7L/100km city only.I dont know if this is whats supossed to be a normal consumption for an ES300 but it's better than before.I think you should get 13L/100km city by the book.I used regular gas all the time.
