Default NEED HELP ASAP!! 01' ES300 CEL and TRAC OFF on....

ok i've check and some people had the exact same problem as my brothers ES but they're saying it's the O2 sensor before the cat..the car will go into gear for like 5 minutes then it wouldn't go into gear anymore, wtf? so if i just replace the O2 sensor, will these go away!

It could be 100 different things. You need to find out the trouble codes to point you in the direction of the problem.

That could definately cause the problems. The speed sensor is quite easy to repalce, But the part is expensive, About $225

damn...bought one from Lexus dealer and it still won't go into gear! just came back from talking to the mechanic(car barely made it there), he says it's b/c of the tranny and the tranny on my brothers car is a different(or special one from what he said) one. transmission code is U140E and the cheapest one he could find was $1800 for a 87K one...does this seems right? or are they trying to cheat me??
