2002 5speed automatic trans problems?

I have posted a complaint on planetfeedback.com regarding a tranny on 2002 ES300 and Lexus actually called me back. They are admitting not that there is a problem with a tranny, but that there are people not satisfied with its performance. In other words, tranny is not faulty, it is performing the way it is supposed to. people just don't like the way it is designed to perform.
Lexus said they have a team form Japan in the US right now, looking to see if there is a fix for it. I mentioned that 2002 Camry already had a software fix for the tranny, but I guess our transmission is not the same. Just sit and wait, I'm kinda impressed that they even called me back on this issue. At least someone is listening.
P.S. There was a service bulletin issued in may (TCB# TC001-02) that is calling for different A/T fluid requirements

Thanks for the update sniper5.
You didn't happen to ask them how a 2 second delay when flooring the gas pedal can be acceptable as within the design of the transmission, did you?

Well, see, in Japan, ummm, time lasts longer. So 2 seconds of US time is only .00025 seconds in Japan. The tranny is working wonderfully over there.
No, I just had a bad break-up with my girlfirend of six months. People always referred to her as Acura 3.2 TL-S (I neveR figured out why). Anyway, after 6 mos of bad behavior, I dumped the *****. She had a bad temper, rattled a lot about this and that, and her tranny was in bad shape.
Acura always had a different excuse, I figured Lexus will as well. So, I didn't even bother asking why they consider jerky shifts normal.

I just received information from the dealership that a software upgrade will be out in October. The upgrade is said to correct the hesitation problem. The shift pattern will also be affected.
