Knock Sensors Problem

Do not hold the leads on the wire with your fingers - your body conducts electricity (quite a bit, actually!) and will throw the resistance readings way off - especially when on the higher scales. Find some other way to hold the meter leads on the wires for continuity testing.

well I think we solved the problem....as all you guys have been telling me ...check for any ground on the wires...I was going to ratashack and get me a new voltmeter but I decided to check on the wires(one more time) touching metal or something,and
found one wire apparently taped on top but when I grabbed it to check it, did not have tape underneath and was touching metal..quickly I follow it and it was one the wires that conects with the knock sensor wires, taped it and cleared the ecm memory,and it's been a couple hours and no cel...I'm going to dare to say that this is it!! other times cel comes on 20 minutes maxium,but not this time..drove the car for 15 minutes and then parked it but I did not turned it off..around 20 minutes later turned it off..next my wife took it for a long ride she had to make and so far no cel..
was so simple...but when you do not know... you do not know..well installed new wires and another sensors that can not hurt the car at some point had to do it anyway

I'm glad to hear that we were able to help, we could tell you were getting frustated, but I'm sure that you must be feeling better now. A bare spot on of those wires would definatly cause the problem. I would recomend purchasing some plastic wire loom cover ( from your local auto supply ), wrapping the harness, and trying to relocate the harness to prevent any further damage. Also if you purchase a couple resistors, you will be able to tell if your meter can be trusted. Good luck

$30(cost of the voltmeter) not the same with $400 (cost of the sensors)

Like a talking VOM!! All you need for continuity is one that will beep on continuity - for sensor readings, you just need a ohm meter section - best to not get an auto-ranging so you can know what your're reading!
