Ask them what the MSRP is on it, and tell them you wont pay their mark-up.

Also, is there any kind of complicated installation/adjustment procedure for that thing? I assume it's the cable for all the electronics on the wheel, correct?

Here's a pretty cool site:
OK - they won't let me put a link in for the site (not sure why - first time I have had a link blocked!), but it is a site to get part #s and approximate prices at.

Google for Toyota DoItYourself.

Nothing but 4 screws to take out. Nothing major whatsoever. I ordered the part from a lexus dealership in Plano, TX for 150... but I spent an extra 70 dollars to get it sent to me overnight. I saved 50 plus dollars from the local dealership and I didnt have to wait an extra 4 to 5 days for it to be shipped to me from the local dealership. Thank you guys for everything. You all have helped me tremendously.

Really just not being careful. I popped open the top of the part and its ended up everywhere. I thought I had it put back on properly so I was driving and Im hearing the constant sound of something just crackling which was messing it up more.

What year is the es may I ask and the reason I went ahead and just purchased a brand new one is because I dont want to get one thats used from a prior accident where the airbag deployed. I didnt want my fiance driving my car around and this possibly happen.

This is where I bought my part and the lexus family on cl really helped me alot.
