Default back seat removal

Hey I posted this in the last thread but I thought I would just start my own. But again, how exactly do you remove the whole back seat from the car?

I just did this a few weeks ago, hopefully I don't miss anything, but it's really pretty simple.

There are 3 clips on the front of the seat bottom, one on each side and one in the middle. Get your fingers under the seat and feel where they are, pull firmly around each clip and they'll pull out. Lift the front edge of the seat up and pull out, the seat bottom will pull out. Then you can see the bolts at the bottom that hold the back on. I know there is one on each side and possibly one in the middle, although I don't think so. I believe the bolts are 12 mm, maybe 10; but try 12 first. Once you've got those bolts, push up on the seatback and pull the bottom edge out. There are kinda clips on the top that slide into place, so manuever the back until those slide out. That should do it. Hopefully everything there is exactly right, but if I screwed up a little on the pushing up or that kind of thing, play around a little and you'll get it.

Default Back seat removal

I have read many "how to remove the back seat" articles. Yes the bottom part of the seat is just as mentioned, pull up hard with both hands on the front. If you are running wires to the trunk you can stop here. Run your hand at the bottom and you can feel a space right into the trunk. But as far as the top portion of the back seat, nobody has said anything about unclipping the wire connectors on both bottom sides. Don't just pull like everyone else will tell you. I broke the wires and now have several messages about airbag failure and see the nearest dealer. Lexus needs to be kicked in the *** for using a different type connector than any other rational person on this earth would think to use. Kiss my *** to the "engineer that decided on those style connectors.
