as i said, i refilled the freon. my father has the "pro gauges" so maybe that helped in filling it properly. it could be a possibility you might have overfilled because if it was only half working you only needed a little bit. maybe your compressor is shot, maybe it needs oil. all i know is that i had the same problem and me filling the freon to factory specs fixed it.
