green light is perceived by the human visual system as more shades than any other color and you will see better with it than bright white light.

do what you want, newbie shows up to ask a question sans searching with 1 post to her name

Im a guy first of all lol and I want to change it because i already have changed my radio lights to blue and i think the white will look nice. The green just looks outta place. Im just looking for the right way to pop off the ignition cover. I know it pops off but i dont want to break it because its pretty snug.

And an existing member is needlessly rude, nice way to welcome someone to our community! I'd rather you didn't post at all if you aren't going to be helpful or welcoming please. PM me if you'd like to discuss.

Well today i got a little anxious and removed it. I was just doing this cause i wanted to confirm what size led i was going to need, and so far it looks like the led #74 will work just perfect. The only thing that im concerned about is the length. The bulb is a very tight fit but i will let you know for sure maybe tomorrow if i find the right led if not i might have to order it.

It is the same size LED as inside your glove compartment. Thanks for posting, this you have inspired em to even change that!

Lucky for me they sell the sets of two on eBay, so i will have a 'spare' one lying around, i guess i can put it to good use!

I wouldn't doubt it. I mean i have taken apart most of my center console using the key only! LOL I wouldn't be shocked if half the car can come apart using the key itself.

Okay to remove it the first thing i did was pulled down on the dash with my fingers to give me space to remove the ignition piece. Just pull under the steering wheel and the first prong should come out. After the first ones out move your hand to where the prong just came out of and pull down a little more. Now the second prong should come out and look like this.

Now that the ignition piece is exposed it should be fairly easy to just pull straight out. I forgot to take a picture of what i did but i just pulled the piece straight off from the bottom and it came out. Theres only two prongs holding it in. One is on the top left corner and the other is on the bottom right. When you you remove it you should see a screw at the bottom. Unscrew it.
