96 ES300 Novice Questions..Parts interchange & trunk leak..
Hello, all. This is a fantastic, informative forum. Thanks
A couple (ok several)questions:
1) Looks like I need a flex pipe for my 96 ES. Does the Camry 3.0 part fit, and if so what years?
2)Are 92-96 ES model years completely compatible? And where can I get interchange info?
3)The well on the right side of the trunk gets water. I think it's coming from the top of the C pillar, right top corner of back window. There's a large diameter clear hose, looks like for drainage, that disappears up there. Is the top of that reachable, if it has worked loose?
I just sold my '89 Camry 2.5L with 230+K mi. (and still running strong), kept alive via ebay and bloody knuckles. Miss her, but am thoroughly enjoying the ES300, a baby @ 103,600 mi.
Thanks,
Peter

The only way to be sure where your trunk is leaking is to see where the water is coming from. I recently fixed a leak in my trunk (98 ES 300) that was coming from a location under my bumper cover in the vicinity of the tail light. My solution was to remove the tail light assembly and calk between the bumper cover and the body. I am not sure where those clear tubes originate but have assumed they are drains for the sun roof.
