IT started couple weeks ago, when i hit an pot hole one night. The problem started the next day. Now everytime i start my car, the car rev up to 1800rpm and makes this wierd roaring noise like i have installed an after market intake system. When I press on gas to see where teh noise is coming from, its sounds right under teh air filter unit. And I got under teh car to see where the noise was its sounds right by the Ypipe. On top, I have been noticing that the car hesitate to shift to the next gear and has been slower then before. Is this something that I can fix or Something that i need to take to a shop. Let me know guys. I dont wnat this problem to lead to a major problem in future. Need Help please. Help.I have posted this last week and got only one response. Guys help please.

No it probably is not the air filter, check all the hoses, sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Did you do any work on it recently? You could have possibly knocked something loose.

Have you checked everything closely, you probably knocked something loose under the hood. Have you looked under the hood yet?

yeah I checked all the hose that is visible under the hood. I really dont know what exactly I am looking for. all the hose that i can see under the hood are all connected. Is there specific hose I should be looking at? Let me know and I really appreciate your help and time. Thanks George

Default Hey

Hey is there any hose or wire down by the Ypipe or by the front driver side tire that could cause this problem?

I would certainly check underneath the car, since you hit a pothole, you could have damaged something down there.
