hi my question is will a 97 and up es300 seat will bolt on a 96 es300 because i am tryin to get a front driverside seat i saw in the junkyard.

From what I recall, one of our more hands-on members attempted installing a gen 3 (97-01) seat in a gen 2 (92-96) without success. The seat rails do not match between the generations.
You, of course, could try to install seat rails from the 3rd gen, or fabricate something completely custom that works. Anything is possible with enough time and/or money.

I spoke with my mechanic about this just last night. He's a lexus fanatic too. He once had a '93 es300 and tried to put '97 seats in it without success. He said that the bolt pattern wasn't the same. But, he also said that it could be retrofitted to fit with some work.
