Default 97 ES300 IPOD set up

Any suggestions on how to set up my daughters 97 ES300 factory radio w/cd changer to have an AUX input to accept her IPOD??

It can be done, but it's not easy. I installed XM satellite radio on my 93 LS and tapped into the wires which carry the CD changer inputs to the radio system. I use a relay and toggle switch to switch between CD input and XM input. The same procedure could be used to put in an aux for an ipod.

If you wanted to play the iPOD on the system, I think it would be easier to use an FM transmitter. But I don't know if you like that idea.

here is the solution I used with my '98 ES300

It integrates well with the factory harness. You still get to keep your cd changer. You just have to flip a 3 position toggle switch in order to listen to your CD Changer, Ipod, or another AUX device......

just get a new HU for it, it will sound better and have more features.

The easiest way would be to get an FM transmitter, or one of those cassette things where it has a headphone thing.
