Hello every one,
I am looking to buy 2000 es300 from a private seller. The car has 122k miles on it with timing belt and other belts changed recently. It is a single owner car and owner is asking for $7000 but he is willing to come down about $500. He has all records available. The only problem with the car has vibration around 80miles/hour. He says the mechanic told him it needs alignment done but I don't think its the alignment. Usually out of balance tires or some thing else would cause vibration. Do you guys think its a good buy? Are there anythings I should be aware of when buying es300 of this age? The car looks brand new. Thanks.

Does it have aftermarket rims? If so and it does not have hubcentric rings that can be it.
And you can do far better on the price, as discussed in numerous threads the last few weeks, these cars are 'cheap', and this one is not. IIRC, a member on here bought an '01 ES300 with low mileage for ~6k$

Thanks guys for the information. At the test drive, the car was pulling to one side plus which is usually alignment. Also there was a constant humming noise comming from the tires. The car did not feel very smooth when driving. I think I am gonna stay away from it. I am looking at 2003 es with 93 miles on it. Dealer is asking for $10995. The car looks brand new but needs 90k service. Also I noticed pulsation in the brake pedals. I am gonna try and negotiate the price. Thanks.
