check engine/trac off lights on
Hi,
Check engine and trac off lights are on in my ES300/2000 model with 80K on it. The dealer suggested changing the charcoal/vapor canister. I changed that and unplugged the battery for a few hours. But, the lights are still on. Any suggestions!

Check all the hoses underneath the hood. The evap systems has quite a few hoses, and if any one is disconnected or damaged, it could cause a leak and set the check engine light. Other than that there is not much you can do without knowing what the code is. Take the car to a auto parts store and ask them to read the codes for you.
