Does anyone know how to get the cupholder and cig lighter and ashtray out. Do you have to take the whole console out? Where are the bolts for the the console I have looked everywhere.

 

hey, I have a 92 so it should be the same.

You have to pop off the big wood cover around the shifter area. I do it from the back (where the e-brake is). Once you get that off you can see (2) screws at the corners under the ashtray thing. You also have to take off a little plastic piece that mounts under the front of your stereo. It pulls out straight forward. Then you can see 2 more screws above the cupholder part. Be careful and don't drop the screws (thats what i did to 1) or else it'll be gone forever. haha. Hope that's a clear explanation.

 

The dealership in Mobile are wacky. I went in the other day to buy some radio bolts because the car ate two of them and I broke another one. He tells me first to just use any plain one that is snug. I tell him that I want them anyway because I came all the way there to get them. They dont even have any! Anyway....

 

Thanks for the info, Puffy. I need to take the same steps so I can repair my cupholder. The spring thingy doesn't work anymore, so I have to manually pry and pull on the thing to get it out. Anyone else have this problem, or is it not too common?

 

I also have the problem of my cupholder spring being broke. I have to pop off the plastic peice under the radio and then pull on it to get it to come it. It is a pain. If you find a way to manually fix please reply I would like to know myself.
