After almost 5 months of having my first car which i worked so hard for every dollar for.. it caught on fire today. A while ago i posted about an electrical problem that would cause my es to flicker on and off losing power completely. turns out something was wrong with my battery. car was cutting out so i pulled over to find it smoking out of the hood.. open the hood and what do you know? huge flame comin from the battery. my whole car burned up...









so now i have a feeling insurance is going to low ball it. I think i mightve gotten ripped off when i bought it so i need to find some listings of similar es300s at a high price. i bought it for 5600 and it had 187XXX before it burned but it was in amazing condition. I'm so sad right now..

Man, that is just awful! I really feel bad for you! What can I say but that I can only imagine how you must feel. If it happened to me, I'd be pretty damn devastated.

Thanks guys.. I'll let you know how insurance works out. You know.. you realize how much you loved a car even more when it's gone... I had some good times with estelle(my es)

damn that sucks.. **** if I went on the es threads more I could of probably helped you.. I had that problem before also but knew what was wrong. no one helped with your flickering/losing power problem...? this really sucks...

Maybe we could put some kind of donation type thing together for you possibly to help you out? Sad to see an ES (or any Lexus) go this way. As long as you and your passengers got away unscathed, that's the important thing. Good luck on finding a new Lexus man.
