I just had the air conditioner serviced and recharged on a 94 ES300. The air gets cool now, but I can not set the termerature below 66 degrees. It doesn't matter if I have the control on manuel or automatic.

Does anybody have any ideas or suggestions on how to fix this problem?

that's all it can do, after that it's just MAX COOL if I remmeber correctly

 

On my 93 I think it goes to 65, and then displays max it you try to go lower. Not sure if this is what he is talking about.

 

Thanks Guys for all your help. I will try to run a diagnostic. I thought that I could set the tempature to a number lower than 66, but maybe I am wrong.

Anyway, I just secured the owners manual today. It should tell me what the coldest setting for the AC is.

 

On my 93 it goes to 65 then "COLD".

 

yeah using cold for about 5 minutes = slurpee-type headache
