I just painted my car. And two tones is the best, it looks more elegant.

For black Id say mono tone. I actually like two tone on many ES's, but the all black does do the ES justice.

completely agree.

i think it works best only for black. i think the other colors, including white, even looks awkward.

Cool

  • 1st & 2nd Gen ES: Two-tone (except black; think "ES Boy")
  • 3rd Gen ES: Two-tone or Mono (Choas' mono paint work converted me)
  • 4th & 5th Gen ES: Mono

I've seen an all black 2ES around in SoCal. Needless to say that it looks very sleek compared to the black/gray counterpart

i saw one too, and it was a 95 in a parking lot, next to me, and had 93 style fog implants. that sh was awesome, all black nice paint work no cutting coreners, prep prep prep and do it right it will look like a million bucks [give the new es 7000's [whateva the num is now] a run for their money . the only thing that 95 was missing was the shifter, else i would have sw'd cars that day lolol

Even tohugh it looks like **** right now (till I can properly finish it), this is the ES300 front on my camry, just to show another color. Being a camry, it doesn't have the lower body panels. But the front would be the same.

For black, I do have to say 100%, monotone.
