Help with finding led number
I just took apart my radio to see what type of bulbs are lighting the radio. What i seen was about 3mm, looked like a bigger version though. it also had a bulb in it that had a small green gel cap on it. Any body know what that part number is if you guys need a picture let me know and i will take one. Its a 3rd gen lexus es300 2001

i can confirm the one with the 'green cap' is going to be a #74.
I suggest buying off this guy. His LED's are AWESOME quality, they are inexpensive. I have three friends' using his LED and myself using his parts. Spot on, and he even got props on here a few times in some older threads too!
I have an '01, the glove box/ignition ring/gear selector for a fact use that bulb.
Let us all know how it goes on the stereo, as i wanted to do this very much myself!

The green 74 bulb is actually different from then the one thats on the stereo backlighting. These bulbs are much smaller and have to be soldered in. There not like any other bulb i seen before. If you want i can post a few pictures of them up cause i desoldered one of them so i can use it as a reference.

In that last picture is the gel cap that was on it. If i just could find a white one then i could make this alot easier but when i type in gel caps on google all that comes up is pills lol.

The bulb acually comes out of the black housing. The bulbs are 8 volts.
There is a thread on here someplace that has a Radio Shack part number but those bulbs are 12 volt. I used the Radio Shack bulbs and replaced three. They work but are slightly dimmer than the factory bulbs.
You can call Pioneer (http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com) and order the bulbs (with housing I assume). They have two different part #'s so write down the locations of the bulbs that you want to replace (look for the IL 901, IL 902, IL 910, etc. on the circuit board next to the bulb housing). From Pioneer they run about $10 ea. You get 2 (clear no green condoms) for about $2.50 from Radio Shack. I pulled all of the green bulb condoms off and it gave my stereo and a/c cluster an updated orange display (much nicer than the "old computer monitor" green color I had before... In my opinion).
