Default 97 ES300 DIY for TB cleaning

I did a search but it was older style ES's. Looking for a DIY for the Throttle body. I just cleaned my GS TB and MAF so i guess i should do the ES. I can tell first hand that this has not been done. Car has 114k. I've read not to use Seafoam so i already have the Carb cleaner etc..

Thanks in advance..

Tony

Why do you need a DIY? Undo, clean, redo.

Didn't know if it was different from the GS.. Disconnect battery, intake hose, clean TB, clean MAF, put back together

Thanks for the reply

I'm not sure if it's any different, but it's right on top so it can't be too bad. You could use this opportunity to write a DIY of your own, too.

Since you are cleaning the TB, you might as well take it a step further and clean out the Idle Air Control Valve that is what will make the biggest improvement. I did this last weekend and it feels like a brand new car, no more hesitation, no more problems starting when its hot out, and for some reason, no more smoke out the muffler when I first start it. One thing worth mentioning, I removed the TPS from the TB and it went to ****. There is no reason to remove it so don't because it may f#ck up on yours too. I thought my transmission was busted because when I took it out of park it felt like I got rear ended. Needless to say, after changing my pants, I bought a new TPS and all is well

I use MAF cleaner and Intake cleaner.

i forget the brand, i know the maf is a gray (grey) spray can, and the Intake cleaner is a red bottle.
