Pretty much what it looks like now, when I saw it last month. Still had some finessing issues to work out with the front fenders where the bondo is, but overall it was very well put together. It took me a few minutes to realize, aside from the bondo, that something about the overall project was a lil off. Looking at the car from directly in the front, you almost can not tell at all. From the sides, you realize the something is just not right, but what? It isn't until you settle your brain down to realize that the cabin is just a little too tall, and the windows are not the correct ones (stuff that enthusiasts like ourselves would notice), and the side profile of the tail lights is completely wrong do you start to realize that ooookkkkk this is different. By the time you get to the rear end and realize that this still is a Camry, your mind is TOTALLY done and you now start to kick yourself in the rear for not having figured it out sooner. LOL!! To hear and read about it, I just could not picture it; but to see it in person I do have to say that he obtained his goal. This car truly is a real conversation piece.

We need to get this thread title changed so that it comes up on Search better and so that it gets a better-deserved title.
This is some fun and worthy work to observe!

We truly need more cross-mod- and cross-idea-pollination betwixt the ES, Windom and Camry forums!

UNITE, my bruthas!

^ I;m gonn ahve it perfesionly painted and dings fixed next year I hope.....just depends on $. You'll have to come down to SoFla next tim eI have my car there (I'll be there next week, but no car).

Bkwindom84, keep a lookout in the meet section here on CL. There is a MASSIVE meet not far from you in Sept. It's in the Northeast section.

Slooooooooooooooooooooow (I'm not counting how many O's, lol), I've been doing a LOT of research on parts swapability between the ES/Camry/Solara. There are actually several upgrades for the 97-01 ES for brakes I've discovered, using the Gen 3 Camry and Gen 2 ES parts, all being a direct bolt on.

I hope to have a website up next month for Camry/Solara/ES/early Avalon DIY's, tips, links, and info. Be nice to have everything in 1 central place.
